YR1 Looking Back & Forth
Looking back:
- We learnt two new phonics sounds: ue (oo) and ch (sh).
- We learnt how to count large amounts of objects by sorting them into groups of 10 in maths.
- We learnt to use the conjunction 'and' to add more detail to our sentences in English.
Highlights:
- Deisgning our bird houses in DT!
- Sorting wild and garden flowers in science.
- Getting new books delivered and reading in our reading area.
Looking forward:
- Next week we will start to plan our own narratives in English.
- We will continue our place value within 50 unit in maths.
- We will label key features of trees and plants in science.
- We will learn about famous explorers in history.
- We will make our own birdhouses in DT!

- Are daisies wild or garden flowers?
- Can you read these words? blue, glue, chef.
