YR1 Looking Back & Forth
Looking back:
- We analysed our model text in English, taking ideas for our own writing.
- We started our new maths unit and learnt to count in 2s and 10s.
- We learnt a new sound: tch (ch)
Highlights:
- We loved going on our mini safari this week! We found lots of interesting invertebrates.
- We enjoyed learning all about Goostrey and thinking about what we can see where we live.
- We learnt about how an invertebrates senses might be different to ours.
- We learnt how to make our drawings look three-dimensional using tone.
Looking forward:
- We will start going over previous sounds in our phonics lessons to prepare for the phonics screening check.
- We will learn to count in 10s.
- We will plan our non-chronological reports in English.
- We will learn about physical and human features of Goostrey.
- We will use soft pastels to draw planets.
