Yr1 Looking Back & Forth

Happy half term! 

We have had a lovely last week of term in Year 1!

Looking back: 

• We wrote our amazing non-chronological reports in English. Miss Wood was so proud that she even put them on display!
• We finished our multiplication and division unit in maths. 
• We have done lots of phonics practise.

Highlights:

• We became scientists and researched all about snails.
• We loved taking part in sports day!
• We watched the older children in their music performance.
• We had so much fun on the last day, we had ice lollies and a marble jar treat!

Looking forward:

• We will start our new maths unit: fractions!
• We will look at a new book in English: The Secret of Black Rock.
• We will be practising lots of phonics!
• We will look at physical and human features of Goostrey in geography. 
• We will learn about where food comes from in DT.
