Yr1 Looking Back & Forth

Looking back:

• We did amazingly well on our Phonics Screening Checks! Miss Wood is so proud!
• We wrote some sentences using some new vocab such as 'translucent' and 'murky'
• We learnt all about halves in maths.

Highlights:

• We enjoyed making our Father's Day cards and using lots of paint!
• We had fun looking in Miss Wood's suitcase and deciding what we should take for different holidays in science.
• We looked at physical and human features in geography.

Looking forward:

• We are looking forward to meeting our new teacher for Year 2 on Thursday!
• We will be writing character descriptions in English.
• We will sample foods for our healthy sandwiches in DT.
• We will look at quarters in maths.
