Yr1 Looking Back & Forth

We have had a lovely week in year 1. 

Looking back:

• We completed our last piece of writing for the year. We wrote our own narratives based on the story of 'The Secret of Black Rock'
• We looked at the days of the week and the months of the year in maths - we learnt some songs to remember them!
• We learnt some new sounds: mb (m), eer (ear), ve (v), ce (s) 

Highlights:

• We have enjoyed bringing books and games in from home to play at lunchtimes in the shade.
• We had fun designing our healthy sandwiches in DT.
• We learnt all about pollutuion in science and created some amazing posters.

Looking forward:

• We will be making our own healthy sandwiches in DT.
• We will learn to tell the time to the hour and to the half hour in maths.
• We will go on our class trip to Holmes Chapel Zoo and Bidlea Dairy!
• We will have lots of fun end of year activities.
