YR1 Looking Back & Forth

We have had a lovely week in Year 1! 

Looking back:

• We wrote character descriptions for Mia and Ben from our story. 
• We learnt to count backwards from 10 in maths. 
• We found '1 more' in maths.
• We revised the sounds 'air' and 'ear' in phonics.

Highlights: 

• We enjoyed tasting crisps as part of our tasting experiment in science to explore our senses!
• We have been super creative this week, we have used collage to create beautiful seacreatures.
• We used papier mache to create jellyfish for the exhibition. 
• We worked as a team to create large scale pictures of towns, cities, villages and coastal areas. 
• We enjoyed making rockets and counting down to 0.

Looking forward:

• We will carry on with our exhibition work. 
• We will start to plan our stories in English. 
• We will learn to find '1 less' in maths.
